1990 Chevrolet 454SS pick-up for sale. 7th digit of the VIN is a 4, this is an original first year big block SS truck.
I am the 3rd owner. Second owner owned the truck from 1992-2015. “Hot rod” transformation from bone stock occurred from 2015-2017 with approx. 1200 kms (650 miles) on the build since.
This truck is mint inside, outside, under the hood and underneath.
93,XXX original kms, or 58K miles.
Original paint, 9.5/10, a few stone chips from being driven. No rust at all.

Matching numbers block, transmission and rear axle.
Cab corners, rockers, frame, etc. are spotless, no rust or rot anywhere on this truck. This truck had clearly not been winter driven prior to my purchase in 2015.
Engine: Original 454 bored and stroked to a 496. 10:1 forged rotating assembly. Eagle crank and rods, Mahle pistons, Flo-Tek 320 CC aluminum heads, single plane high rise intake, comp cams .580 lift flat tappet cam with hydraulic lifters, Scorpion roller rockers, March billet pulley system, full MSD ignition, Fi-Tech 800 hp throttle body fuel injection, Holly EFI electric fuel pump. Motor makes just under 600 hp. Oil PSI is usually 80 for cold start then 45-50 when hot. Derale 4000 cfm fans with shroud and aluminum radiator. Takes 15W50 racing oil with zinc, 8 qts. Champ racing oil pan with baffles and trap door. Runs just fine on 91 pump gas.
Transmission: Original TH-400 professionally rebuilt with Kevlar bands and a Trans-Go Stage 2 shift kit. 3500 stall converter, heavy duty trans cooler with braided lines. Driveshaft is new and custom.
Rear axle/Suspension: Original factory 14 bolt posi unit, 9.5” ring gear. The axles are huge, way bigger than a 9” or 12 bolt. New Auburn posi installed with new bearings, shims and gaskets. Original factory 3.73 gears were reused. Aluminum aftermarket housing cover with cap studs. 4 link suspension with Strange coil over shocks and pan hard bar. 2’ drop spindles in front.
Brakes are stock minus the new Wilwood master, smaller power booster (to clear tall valve covers) and proportioning valve. Front calipers, pads, rotors and lines all redone in 2015, 1200 kms since.
Interior: original and spotless. Head liner is sagging a little over the passenger seat.
Rear wheels have been professionally widened from 15x7 to 15x10 to accept Mickey Thompson 325/50/15 Street R drag radials while maintaining stock appearance. It was damn near impossible to find someone to widen stock iron rims but I wanted stock rims on the truck with a 325 slick.
Tubbed with fuel cell, dual batteries and cut off switch in bed of truck. Rear frame rails have not been altered aside from being boxed, they are not narrowed. If you switched to different rims, you could get another 2” of tire on the rear.
Fame has been boxed from the front to just in front of the rear axle upper shock mounts.
All chassis fabrication work professionally done and looks as such.
Custom exhaust with cats and cut out/dumps (not electric, bolt on). Sounds nasty.
Custom fuel system.
Original owners manual, GM warranty card and emergency key included as well as stock silver center caps for wheels (there were 2 center cap options in 90).
This truck is literally the nicest in the country, you will not find a cleaner, better built 454ss truck with low miles and original paint plus the tasteful upgrades. Runs and drives excellent. No rattles, squeaks or shakes, drives straight. Runs 160-170 degrees on even the hottest days.
Never been raced. Was built as a street vehicle and is currently plated and insured.

This truck is very powerful and shouldn’t be driven by inexperienced drivers. I will drive it on the test drive. You want to drive it? Buy it.
